What bugged me was how he hates other characters for no specific reason except for his psychotherapist intuition or some unexplained past that was glossed over. Instead, whether unintentionally or not, Theo was an unlikable character. He has emotional baggage of his own which should have made the readers sympathize with him or at least root for him. It is interesting how Michaelides chose to write Theo Faber.
